YUNIS TMEIZEH

WINNER

Yunis Tmeizeh has operated a business for over 10 years as an illustrator and creator of Cybertart. The camera has always been part of his creative journey, but it was only in 2012 that Tmeizeh adopted the digital camera as a major tool in his creative process. He uses the camera to capture the moment as he sees it, and tries to use the image to replicate the feeling as he felt it.

JUDGES’ COMMENTS

“It’s easy to fall into the trap of doing what other photographers are doing, and that’s a race no one can win. Stay true to yourself and remember what it was that first made you fall in love with image-making, because that’s what shines through in winning images.”

“One or two weak images within the group nullified my confidence of the artist’s talent. You are only as strong as your weakest image!”

“In Portraiture, I look for an image that talks to me. Many of the entries were too remote in terms of connecting the viewer with the subject.”
