The Space In Between is the product of a 3,000km journey undertaken by documentary photographer Nick Hinch. Tracing a country of snow-covered roads, carved out of volcanic rock between mountain and sea, the series explores the traces of modern life in a vast and unforgiving Icelandic landscape where signs of humanity are often more visible than life itself.

The series showcases a series of large format prints highlighting the vastitude of the landscape. Imagery was produced with both colour and black and white film photography during an expedition in early 2018.
