The Essence of Canberra

On 11 September 1945, a meeting was held in the then 2CA Theatrette in Civic.

It decided to form the Canberra Photographic Society. To celebrate the Society’s 80th anniversary, this exhibition of members’ images on the theme of The Essence of Canberra displays 40 framed prints by current members and a video showing historical images of Canberra by current and past members.

Several dozen members have contributed to the exhibition. There is oodles of talent. There are award-winning artists amongst them.
