All I Had I Gave by Edward Goldner

All I Had I Gave is a collection of portraits set against the crumbling backdrop of once mighty Cold War powers. The series presents a duality in its exploration of vibrant characters enduring, and at times flourishing, within their exhausted landscapes. Goldner traveled between Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakstan, Georgia, and the USA over the course of two years, capturing the series on a Contax G2 with Ilford film. Each image featured in the exhibition has been handprinted on silver gelatine paper. This process utilises traditional darkroom techniques, free of any digital manipulation.
