• Six days in Arizona saw Chris Clor working hard for Shell Oil’s “Hard Working” ad campaign. Like many jobs, there was an abundance of technical challenges when working toward the final shots. “We had ten images to create over a range of geography and weather, with only six shoot days. From snow covered mountains to desert terrain and, of course, the weather had to comply as well,” says Clor. The truck driver image proved a big challenge as each part was shot separately: the driver, dash lights, rain spattered windscreen, road, clouds, road sign, mountain, even the window-wiper blades.

 • Despite all this, putting it all together was a breeze for Clor. “I do all my own post work, so I knew exactly how to break the shot down to facilitate the post production.” But you don’t always have to rely on yourself. “Working with a really good producer is essential,” says Clor. While encountering dramas like members of his team forgetting wallets before critical plane flights, Clor clearly loves what he does. “You get up before the sunrise but know you have an entire day of doing what you love with a great crew and client.”
