About the prize

The Sony α6400 mirrorless, interchangeable-lens camera features Real-time Eye autofocus, Real-time Tracking, and the world’s fastest autofocus (AF), clocking in at 0.02 seconds, along with 425 phase-detection and contrast-detection AF points.

Many of the AF technologies have come from Sony’s pro range of cameras, including the α9. Real-time eye autofocus employs artificial intelligence based object recognition to detect and process eye data in real time, resulting in improved accuracy, speed and tracking. In all autofocus modes, the camera now automatically detects the eyes of the subject and activates Eye AF with a half press of the shutter button.

The camera houses a 24.2 megapixel APS-C Exmor CMOS image sensor and latest-generation BIONZ X image processor. High-speed continuous shooting at up to 11fps with the mechanical shutter, and 8fps when shooting silently. The α6400 has high-resolution 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160) movie recording with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, plus interval recording for time-lapse videos.

The 3-inch, 180-degree tilting LCD screen does more than just display the scene in front of you – it's also an intuitive touchscreen, giving you quick control over a number of the camera's functions.
