About the entry
Portraits of my son Declan, taken at the lake near our home. This will be a transformative year for him as he moves on to high school and becomes a teenager. It won't be long before days out with his peers become much more appealing than days spent with family. I take comfort in knowing that no matter what lies ahead, our days by the water together will never be forgotten.
Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers, presented by Fujifilm, is the region's main platform for discovering and showcasing photographers at the outset of their careers, as well as aspiring photographers. The competition is open to emerging, student, and amateur photographers. The prize pool currently stands at over $24,000, including $9,000 in cash.The best entries will be showcased in the May–July 2023 issue of Capture magazine.
