Growing up on a small South Australian farm, Kate Patten spent her days expressing herself through visual art, eventually falling in love with the captured image. In order to pursue photography, she moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT. With the development of her critical eye, Patten’s photography career grew and evolved, finding her creative niche in minimalism and abstraction. This artistic style is evident in her most celebrated series, Bare Flesh.
