Valerie Misa, Whisky Bay's Cast of Colours (LANDSCAPE 2022)
Having just picked up photography as a hobby in July this year, I was itiching to get out and explore Victoria - through my newfound lens - as soon as lockdown restrictions lifted. I'd never been to Whisky Bay (Wilsons Promonotory) before. However, an impromptu midday visit left me wanting more. I knew I had to plan my return at sunset to capture this serene little beach with views into Bass Strait and large granite boulders framing its shoulders. Several days later, and I was back to capture a great ensemble of thick low-level clouds and brilliant hues of purple, pink and gold. I think these 3 photos display the wonderful array of colours that can be seen in the sand, sea and sky at Whisky Bay, each conveying its beauty from a different perspective.
