Andrea Damic, What We Leave Behind (SINGLE SHOT 2023)

Image “What We Leave Behind” shows a child on her way to school passing a pile of rubbish left on the street. In that moment, it was hard not to feel a pang of despair for the world we are leaving behind, as not only that we are leaving behind the world consumed with climate issues and human indifference, but we are leaving our children in it. Rather than anything else, I tried to capture a feeling that would tell a story. For full disclosure, this photograph was accepted as a finalist in the Fusion Art's 5th Annual Women Artists Art Exhibition in October 2022.
