Diane Armstrong, WEATHERED PASSAGE (LANDSCAPE 2025)
Chasing light and the misty embrace of fog, nostalgia filled the air. A weathered wooden gate stood out in the landscape. It’s rough-hewn texture a silent witness to years of rugged farm life—its simple structure speaking of long-forgotten paths and untold stories. Dividing golden grasses, a privileged entry gives rise to vibrant crack willows and distant mountains under the stark winter sky. The scene felt like a gateway to memories of rural life, a symbol of resilience in the rawness of nature.
