ingrid Kuster, Watching and waiting (SINGLE SHOT 2026)

I was out in the late afternoon in search of Rainbow Bee-eaters to photograph when I came across this Kookaburra sitting in nearby trees. I watched it for some time and eventually it swooped down and caught a worm. It returned to a nearby tree branch where again it sat watching and waiting for its next prey. It was then that I saw the kookaburra backlit by the sun's low position and framed by the tree branches.
