Kevin Palmer, Wasting Pixels (Art 2020)

I’ve have enjoyed using existing light to realise the small visual cues and establish the potential of an image in various circumstance (in this instance automotive subjects). I admit it is not easy and often unrewarding trying to work in the moment. And at times I walk away, somewhat demoralised because I have nothing to show for the time spent. It makes no commercial sense to do things this way. But just occasionally for me comes the magic. I see a visual potential. Something just happens and it all falls into place, the light, colour, shapes and shutter release. Once again I get excited about my photography, I like what I have done and feel I have not wasted pixels.
