Mian (Forrest) LIn, Under the Brim (BLACK & WHITE 2026)

Under the Brim is a monochrome portrait study shaped by restraint and controlled light. Through variations in concealment and proximity, the series explores how shadow defines form and character. Each frame relies on tonal discipline rather than narrative, allowing texture, contrast, and negative space to carry emotional weight. The work examines how light reveals structure while preserving mystery, emphasizing the expressive power of black and white.
