Amy Crawley, Uncertainties of Life - A Photographic Exporlation (Documentary/Photojournalism (ATEP 2017))
Uncertainties of Life - A Photographic Exploration is a photographic series investigating and documenting the life of myself, my partner and ex- partner as we live together in Frankston, Victoria, Australia. Evidently projecting the uncertainties that life holds and issues that arise throughout life. I find photography as an artistic medium to be extremely therapeutic and powerful; giving the artist and the viewer an array of emotions and opportunities in life. Life is unwritten and uncertain, it can be fearsome but the power and essence of the therapeutic qualities of art and photography can light your way through life and bring joy and confidence within pure self - expression and exploration. I wish to promote this power of photography to the world. My photographic influences are Nan Goldin, Larry Clark and Richard Billingham.
