Julia Platt, Touching the other side (PEOPLE 2025)

I take embodied portraits of women, so they be witnessed in their wholeness and diverse and transitioning identities. This is my beautiful friend, she has a deep connection to the spiritual realm, energy and those here and those passed. At the time of this photo session, she was in a place of grief for a cherished family member. She was also doing inner work, releasing old identities. In the stillness of the moment, reaching for the water, she seemed to be reaching for herself and her loved one, and truly in presence of all of these people across time and space, meeting in that moment.
