Amanda Clarke, Through the Window: A Moment That Changed History (DOCO 2025)

This series documents the Sixth Floor corner from which Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots that changed America forever. By capturing the space from deliberate angles, emphasizing light, shadow, and texture, I aimed to provide a narrative that immerses the viewer in the history and tension of the moment. The stacked boxes, aged windows, and muted light echo the weight of 1963, while the perspectives chosen reflect the scale, detail, and emotional gravity of the site. Each image is crafted to stand alone, yet together they tell a cohesive story of a space that has become a symbol of conspiracy, memory, and loss. These photographs are not merely a record, they invite viewers to see through the same window and confront the lingering presence of history.
