Taken from the deck of a boat, these images capture the drama of New Zealand’s southwest, where the wild Tasman Sea gives way to the deep calm of Doubtful Sound. As the vessel moves from open ocean into the sound, the serenity of the sound becomes unmistakable: waves soften, reflections sharpen, and towering, rain-soaked mountains rise straight from dark, still water.
