Stewart Manning, The Red Echo (TRAVEL 2026)

This series explores the shifting light and immense scale of Horseshoe Bend during a single golden-hour transition. Moving from the fading glow across the plateau to the intensity of light cutting into the canyon, and finally to a solitary figure at the rim, the images trace a quiet progression of atmosphere and perspective. The work focuses on how light reveals the structure of the landscape, and how human presence alters our sense of scale within it. These moments reflect the experience of standing at the edge of something vast and enduring, where the warmth of the canyon walls is echoed in the horizon beyond.
