Amanda Wheatley, The In Between (PEOPLE 2026)

There's a quiet moment in pregnancy where everything is about to change....but hasn't yet. You're still you, but also becoming someone new. This series is about that space. The in between. Photographed along the coast, I wanted to capture her as she is; strong, soft, grounded, and carrying so much all at once. The ocean felt like the perfect reflection of that. Always moving, a little unpredictable, but steady in its own way. These images aren't about perfect poses or polished moments. They're about connection. About slowing down long enough to feel this season for what it is. Because it passes so quickly. And one day, this version of her will be gone .... replaced by the next.
