Jason Harris, The final act of the play (SINGLE SHOT 2026)

This image is the culmination of what was a long and animated courtship ritual between a male and female Red Tailed Black Cockatoo. They were frolicking on the branches of the tree for the best part of 10 minutes, each taking turns to display their best moves. All the while having what felt like an audience of their contemporaries who were spellbound by the spectacle and did not move an inch throughout. In the end it was the Female (speckled spots on the wings) who finished as the dominant partner in dramatic fashion.
