Aki Chan, The Architecture of Light (BLACK & WHITE 2026)

This portfolio explores how intense directional light becomes a primary builder of form. By isolating contrast and removing colour, I focus on the rhythmic patterns and sculptural shadows that emerge when light meets structure — from the rigid geometry of urban streets to the organic curves of a living body. Through these monochromatic studies, I seek to reframe familiar environments, revealing the tension, balance, and quiet architecture formed between light and shadow.
