Caitlin Adams, The Alm Valley (LANDSCAPE 2026)

The beauty of the Austrian Alps is a far cry from the ancient rugged beauty of the Australian bush. During 4 months volunteering and living at an Ethology Conservation and Research Centre in Upper Austria during 2024, I spent a lot of time biking around the Almtal Valley, which translates as the Valley of the Elves. It certainly felt like said elves could pop out at any moment. These shots were taken in April after an unseasonably late snowfall, along the tracks that I frequented (leading to Lake Almsee).
