Robert Howard, Temple tails and city whiskers (ANIMALS 2026)
Unlike in many Western societies, where animals are typically defined as either pets or strays, temple animals in Thailand occupy a more fluid role. They move freely between spiritual spaces, surrounding streets, and the daily lives of the people who visit the temples. These photographs explore this unique relationship, revealing how animals and humans coexist in a shared cultural landscape shaped by faith, generosity, and everyday kindness.
