Daniel Lam, Tasmanian Nights (Landscape (2018))
A portfolio of some of my best works in 2017, photographed on the heart-shaped island paradise of Tasmania, Australia. This compilation hopes to showcase Tasmania's pristine night-sky darkness along with its unsoiled natural landscape. It includes several pictures of the elusive Aurora Australis viewed from all around the island state, the setting Milky Way lit by zodiacal light at astronomical twilight on a spring day, and an amazing species of bio-luminescent marine plankton known as Noctiluca scintillans, which glows brightly blue when disturbed.
Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
