I was wandering the streets of Sri Lanka and came across this scene. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the quiet mosque amid the mayhem of life. I wanted to capture not only what I was seeing but the feeling of the place: a vibrant blend of organised mayhem and stillness. An in-camera multiple exposure felt like the best choice. Sri Lanka is definitely not still or silent; it is alive, layered, and excitingly real.
