Kerryn Buckley, Skimming Frigatebirds (ANIMALS 2026)

A series of images showing Frigatebirds that are masters of the air, known for a unique feeding behavior called skimming, These birds were flying down, getting a drink and skimming over a dam. Unlike most seabirds, frigatebirds lack waterproof feathers. If they become waterlogged, they cannot take off again and may drown.
