Chieh Fui Liang, Reflection (Student (2018))
In a way, reflection from water is quite simple and bland as it is merely that of the surrounding, yet the visual representation can be quite mesmerising and different, giving another dimension and perspective to surrounding objects we pass by everyday. These photographs are part of a self-awareness and self-exploration series. Every moment is changing and provides something different. How much to hold on; how much to let go. Literally reflection can be quite apparent and obvious yet sometimes uncertain and unfamiliar - when reflection seems familiar, it turns into something foreign on second glance. Philosophically it is much deeper and everyone's experience is different. Hope this series evoke something within.
