Caroline Holdstock, Plaza Espana Seville (TRAVEL 2026)

Spain is usually associated with being bright and sunny but the weather when we were in Seville last March was dark and stormy. Because of the gloom I decided to convert my images to Black and white to convey how it felt on the day and to enhance the dramatic clouds, and bring out the detail in the beautiful buildings without their natural colour. The area is very large so I decided to photograph small sections close up, rather than the usual overall scene.
