Madeline Mason, Perch and Presence (ANIMALS 2026)

Perch and Presence is a series of avian portraits captured in moments of stillness between movement. Each image reflects a different kind of presence: The Acrobat balancing in motion, The Listener alert and attentive, and The Quiet One turned inward in a moment of rest. The work focuses on these brief pauses in the natural world where posture, gesture, and attention reveal individuality. The series explores the quiet exchange of observation, personality, and the subtle moments where movement stops and presence remains.
