Alanna Walshe, Parallels: Aging, Identity and the Landscape (BLACK & WHITE 2026)
This photographic series explores the relationship between aging, identity, and the environment, drawing parallels between the maturing female body and weathered landscapes. Wrinkles, grey hair and other markers of time are presented not as signs of decline, but as evidence of beauty, resilience, wisdom, and lived experience. Shaped by time as the land is shaped by weather, these images invite viewers to reconsider aging as a process of endurance rather than loss.
Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
