Herald Jaison, Organic Abstraction: Studies in Contrast (BLACK & WHITE 2026)

My portfolio, Organic Abstraction: Studies in Contrast, is an exploration of the inherent graphic language of Australian wildlife when stripped of color. The series is unified by a singular, high-contrast monochrome aesthetic and a thematic focus on Structural Tension and Textural Minimalism. Each image serves to isolate a specific animal form against stark fields of light and shadow, transforming common animal encounters into conceptual studies. Whether capturing the unsettling geometric division of a subject, the intimate, luminous detail of a preening animal, or the stark, high-contrast isolation of form against a minimalist background, the goal is to transcend mere documentation. This portfolio showcases a dedicated technical mastery of black and white processing to create a cohesive, graphic, and meditative visual statement on life and form in nature.
