Geoffrey Hui, On the Hunt (ANIMAL 2021)

A pair of Kookaburras were hunting for insects, reptiles and small rodents to feed their newly hatched chicks. These images were captured in a morning showing how resourceful these birds were in finding a wide variety of food. I was also amazed to see a David and Goliath encounter when one of the Kookaburra ventured too close to a Leaden Flycatcher’s nest. The little Flycatcher fought bravely to drive away the much larger bird.
