Panos Chatzistefanou, Offline (PEOPLE 2025)
This project portrays women in their homes, captured during everyday moments that often go unnoticed. They are not abstract subjects but protagonists, caught in serene moments of quiet repose, revealing a world of inner thoughts. Each scene, a brief pause in the rhythm of daily life, becomes a space where existence resonates—isolated yet profoundly aware. In an era of hyper-connectivity and overexposure, this work serves as a counterpoint, inviting introspection and disconnection. It challenges the social norm of constant external engagement, urging a turn inward, where one can reconnect with personal reality. Through these isolated moments, the viewer is invited to detach from the endless noise of the outside world and rediscover the essence of self-awareness and social understanding. The images confront the viewer with their own reality, encouraging a journey of self-reflection. This isolation doesn’t just highlight solitude but fosters a deeper consciousness of self and society, promoting empathy and a more profound social awareness.
