Paul Harrison, Message from the Southern Ocean (LANDSCAPE 2021)

These photos were taken on a beach near Denmark, Western Australia. The vertical lines in the sand are from the wave action of the ebbing tide. I liked the way that the seaweed strands were being re-arranged by the strong crosswind and then outlined by the dry sand that was being blown down the beach. It seemed as though the Southern Ocean was trying to leave a series of runes as a message.
