Matt Hrkac, Melbourne COP26 Climate Protests (DOCO 2022)

A snapshot of the climate protests which took place in Melbourne during the the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow in early November. Protesters demanded that the Australian government (and by extension, governments of other developed countries) commit to bolder action on climate change. Protest actions ranged from traditional street marches to 4-metre tall burning koalas, prams being hung over bridges, roads being blocked, flags being burnt and fuel terminals being blockaded as the climate and environment movement makes its voice heard.
