Jake Wilton, Marine Mammals (ANIMAL 2021)

A collection of images showcasing the curiosity and beautiful nature of marine mammals. Marine mammals are notoriously shy and intelligent animals making natural encounters a rare but rewarding experience. Patience, dedication and a bit of luck are required to gain the trust of the subjects and let them be comfortable enough to express the curious and intelligent natures that make them so famous. An example from each of the 3 main taxonomic groups that call the ocean home: Cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises), Pinnipeds (seals, Sea lions, and walruses) and Sirenians (manatees and dugongs). All images were taken using natural light and while free diving.
