Peter O'Sullivan, Liminal Coast (LANDSCAPE 2026)

This series of photographs is a triptych of the Sunshine Coast in transition. The thresholds where land meets liquid and man-made meets the infinite. The lourney begins in the "blue hour" at Lake Weyba where the organic, skeletal grace of a paperbark tree stands as a silent sentinal over mirrored waters. The story then shifts to the modern horizon, where the geometry of the Kawana Bridge acts as an anchor against a moving teal and orange sky. The series reaches its crescendo at the shoreline, where the ancient geology of Dolphin Rock is momentarily transformed as the sky breaks into a spectacle of golden light and chaotic ocean spray in a final triumphant display of colour. These images seek to capture the landscape not as a postcard, but as a living, breathing transition of light, metal and tide.
