Julia Howe, Life in the bubble (SINGLE SHOT 2023)

This photographic still life attributes the Corona Virus pandemic and lockdown. The plastic bag represents the bubble we were all in when confined to our homes during the lockdowns. The bag surrounds the other objects highlighting it as being a central focus and overarching theme. The timer represents the endless days spent in quarantine and the dullness of that time. As referenced by the muted colours within the image. The mask is a defining image to represent the pandemic, a shared experience we all had to endure. The lock represents the restriction we had when placed under quarantine. the objects are all surrounded by the plastic bag as a means of connecting them.
