Amber Brentnall, Jumping Spiders (ANIMAL 2023)
Photographing these tiny curious creatures is always challenging, but oh so satisfying. Jumping spiders are very small, particularly when they are in their younger phase (they vary from 1mm to around 10mm). Their large eyes is one of their best features (for both functionality and personality) , and provides them with great eyesight to seek out prey and survive. It's easy to see why these mini beasts are often anthropomorphised, they are the cutest arachnids and often interact with you, jumping on you. I have even know them to cure the most crippled of arachnophobics - they just melt your heart.
