Lucca Amorim, Jumping Families (ANIMAL 2021)

During the early morning, mobs of Eastern-grey Kangaroos set out to roam the wild in search of food and social contact. While adult females tend to their joeys, males graze on grass and spar with each other for territories and females. In the first photo, a juvenile male cautiously surveils the area while feeding above icy grass. In the second image, there are two kangaroos which peacefully enjoy their winter breakfast. The last photo displays an adult mother cleaning her joey, which has just emerged from her pouch while the little Kangaroo curiously observes the surroundings.
