A small village in Nong Bua Lamphu province is a far cry from the neon lights of Bangkok, or the holiday fun or Pattaya and Phuket. It's authentic, welcoming and life in the slow lane consists of shared meals and a sense of community centred on the local temple. It is the road less travelled, and almost nobody speaks English, total cultural immersion for those who seek it.
