Annette Kirby, In a Snow Storm (LANDSCAPE 2025)

Snow and more snow as I travelled in February across Hokkaido in Japan. It was magical and even in snow storm with 70 klm winds the landscape was stark and stunning. I captured a couple of photos standing outside. I was clutching my camera tight against my body in the gale force winds. Then inside the restaurant near Lake Kussharo, I watched the storm through the glass windows. The last photo shows the wind whipping up the snow. It was spectacular to watch and showed the power of wind and ice.
