Edi Ivancic, Hydrangeas (BLACK & WHITE 2026)

Last month during our stay in Auckland, we visited Eden Garden which was once an abandoned quarry that had had been converted into a garden. While hiking around , we found a large bed of hydrangeas growing within the forest canopy. I was amazed by the interesting shapes and shadows formed around these flowers so I took a few shots and later I decided to convert these set of images into B&W to emphasis the range of shapes and shadows cast by both the dappled sunlight overhead and through the delicate semi transparent petals the flowers.
