Jen Williams, HOPE (SINGLE SHOT 2025)

The unseen moments to the naked eye, the joy in the wonder. My absolute love of being an Ocean Photographer is being up for getting lost. Lost in the wonder of possibilities, of the way natural elements connect with each other and with myself at Sunrise. I love being in the water and being open to the possibilities. I took this beautiful photo at Mona Vale Beach in Sydney on Feb 2 this year as the sun was rising. The wide aperture allows for so much creativity and this particular morning the message being sent to me was a reminder of Hope. It wasn't the calmest of mornings so it required more from me, going over waves and settling again to capture the Sun. I have called this image Hope as the light dancing below the Sun is shaped like a hand, holding that moment of absolute hope and joy filled in that big beautiful Sun. The colours are thank you to the beautiful coloured clouds that burst just at sunrise. I believe the Ocean has so much to offer us if we are open. Hope is definitely one of those things. This image is a powerful reminder of the gifts of the unknown. I adore these mornings and I love what I do. Thanks for the opportunity to share this moment. I hope you get a sense of the feeling from my words. Thanks Jen
