Yosuke Koga, Hometown (DOCO 2026)

As an immigrant, I never quite feel that I belong here. I never feel fully accepted by this city. No one knows me. No one sees me. No one seems to care that I exist. Sometimes I feel like a ghost wandering the streets. And yet, I have chosen to call this place my hometown. Because this is where I have decided to live my life. If I keep calling it home, perhaps one day it really will become one. With every photograph I take, it feels as if this city becomes a little more my hometown. So look at me. Open your eyes and see me.
