Richard Carlisle, Hillston mission 2017 (Doco/Photojournalism (2018))

The Hillston Mission trip has been a staple of St Mathews for several years with a team going down each summer. This year was my first, I wanted to document it so I decided to buy a used camera and give it a try. I had always enjoyed the candid photography coming out of the Obama Whitehouse so I tried to mimic that style in documenting the people on the mission trip but also the objects left behind in this now disused church.
