Venkatesh Kittur, Guardians of the Sacred (DOCO 2026)

Langur monkeys inhabit temple grounds dedicated to Hanuman, the monkey god. Moving freely between ritual and ruin, they occupy thresholds where devotion, coexistence, and survival intersect. Their presence reflects centuries of reverence, yet also reveals fragile tensions between wildlife, expanding human spaces, and the persistence of belief in contemporary India.
