STUART BELL, GREY WOLF – Series 2 (ANIMALS 2026)

Meet Flora. A 14-year-old female wolf and resident of the Northern Lights Wolf Centre at Golden, BC. Raised by her owners from infancy, I was fortunate to spend a few hours with them both in the Blaeberry Valley, surrounded by the Rockies. Roaming free and unrestrained (no collar or leash) the rules are simple. No calling or whistling, no kneeling sitting or crouching down, no placing clothing or equipment on the ground, no approaching the wolf. Shelly, Flora’s handler, enforces these rules strictly—after all, Flora is a wild animal who has been raised to remain as close to her natural state as possible.
