Evie Phillips, Elegy in Bloom (SHOT ON FILM 2026)
This photograph explores the fragile intersection between life and decay. A single flower, offered by hand, becomes a quiet act of remembrance amid the bones, a gesture that softens the starkness of mortality with a moment of tenderness. This photograph was shot on film, developed in a dark room and hand‑coloured directly onto a physical print using traditional methods. The slight smudging in the flower and hand is a natural result of the manual colouring process and is intentionally preserved to maintain the tactile, handmade quality of this piece.
